The future of the European Union 5: after Brexit

The fifth edition of this summer school will bring together experts from all over Europe to discuss the hottest issues affecting the future of the European Union at a critical juncture in the development of this emerging political system. The course will cover hot issues such as Brexit, the rise of Eurosceptic and anti-Establishment parties, or the refugee crisis. This year, the course will also analyze the government, politics, and public policy of the EU in comparative perspective in order to show the similarities and differences between the democratisation of the EU political system and those of some important European nations. A number of guest lecturers from all over Europe will help to compare the EU to other political systems both inside and otside the EU, such as those of Poland, Romania, Serbia, Moldova, Georgia, or Ukraine.
