About me:
I am associate professor of political science at the University of Oradea, Romania, where I teach in the fields of political parties, theories of democracy, and civil society. I graduated from the faculty of political and administrative sciences at Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, in 1996, and I earned a PhD from the same university in 2004, with a thesis on the relationship between liberalism and nationalism and Romania's problems of modernity. I have published as author/co-author seven books and more than 50 articles, essays, or reviews, in collective volumes and journals. I am Jean Monnet professor in the field of the European integration studies and founder and editor of the Journal of Identity and Migration Studies (http://jims.e-migration.ro/).
